Exploring the Tomohon / Tondano highlands area, rice paddies, coconut Plantations and flower gardens rounds out the activities.
Visit the highland towns of Tomohon and Tondano. Clove and coconut Plantations, rice paddies and flower gardens fill our highlands with the same beauty and serenity found in our smiling people. Visit a small pottery village and a Chinese Buddhist Temple. Pack a lunch and hike to a mountain waterfall. Enjoy a soak in one of our hot springs. Overnight at a cottage on Lake Tondano. Relax in the peaceful atmosphere and cool mountain water, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
BUKIT KASIH
Love is one of the hill tourism in North Sulawesi (Sulawesi). It is located about 1 hour away by car from the city of Manado, the capital of North Sulawesi. To get there we will pass Tomohon.
When turning left towards the direction of Lake Tondano whereas when taken straight road about 20-25 minutes and then will arrive in Bukit Love.
After arriving there and pay Rp 3,000 per person restribusi, we can choose an ample parking lot and found the Monument Hill Love here.
This hill called the Mount of love for the people of different religions can come together and coexist in worship as a symbol of religious harmony. There are five houses of worship here, a Catholic church, a Christian church, temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built on top of the second. At the first peak is a white cross with a height of 53 meters which can be seen even from the beach in Manado Boulevard. In addition, it is believed to be the place where the original ancestors of the Minahasa, Toar and Lumimuut live. Seen from their faces carved in the hillside below the second peak.
Actually we have no specific intention to come to the hill of love this. Incidentally we were assigned from Jakarta to be placed in this North Sulawesi. There is work that needs to be addressed, coincidentally located near the Mount of Love. After the job was done, we went there. If there is an expression, while diving drinking water, maybe this is called while working and sightseeing ... haaaaa,,haaa,,haaa
To rise to the top of the Mount of Love we took a route that is behind the monument. The road in the form of steps-steps of a long, but when approaching the top of the hill going past the dirt road. Pretty exhausting to get over the hill, about 1 hour more because we were more relaxed way, these pictures every great view while enjoying the scenery there.
As I said at the last, if you take the road turn right at the T-junction on the way will find religious buildings and hot tubs but we go on to the top of the hill where there is a cross with a large enough size and height. We passed the return of new religious buildings and hot tubs.
Love hill climb quite tiring but the heart was quite amused at the sight of the steps of stairs that we passed and the landscape around it. At first glance, the streets we passed was like a "Chinese Wall" small curvaceous shape.
Well, if you happen to go or be in Manado, Bunaken besides Lake Tondano and famous, it could not hurt to go and enjoy sightseeing in Bukit Love.

JACO ISLAND
Welcome to Jaco Island
Featuring the beauty of the island of white sand and beautiful beaches with clear sea water clarity. Really very nice to surround the island by renting a motor boat. motor boat rental costs around 20 dollars per person to be around the island. if we go down to the island will be charged an additional 5 dollars per person and we will be picked up again when we're done playing on the island.
One of the top destinations in East Timor has got to be Jaco Island just off the east end of Timor. It is about an 8 hour drive from Dili. A trail bike or 4×4 would be the best transport out there. A regular car could make it up to Tutuala but you would have to leave it in town and walk the rest of the way because the trail really deteriorates the closer you get.
It is even a challenge for 4×4′s.
Local transport could be taken to Tutuala but there are few vehicles going that way and the trip would only be for people with a lot of patience and endurance.
Then you would have to walk the last 8 km or so to the beach.
This is the only place where I’ve seen snorkelers spear tunas. Before the rains come the water is clear and the visibility is almost unlimited.
There are clean wide stretches of white sand and plenty of shade trees further inland.
It is good in a way that Jaco is not that easy to get to or it could be over run with tourists and it might some of the magic of this place.
There are no facilities there but some fishermen hang out there selling fish and coconuts and they don’t mind having visitors.
Some people bring tents and others sleep in their vehicles.Another option is to sleep in the undercuts that are in the rock walls along the beach.
The fishermen have some bamboo benches that they will let you use, but it is a good idea to help them out a little and buy some fish and coconuts or whatever to help out their economy a bit.
