DILI

Dili is the capital of Timor Leste with tetung native language, Portuguese, Indonesian and English. Dili     is the capital city and largest city in East Timor.

Dili is located on the north coast of Timor Island. The population is estimated to reach 163 305 inhabitants (January 2006).

While still a part of Indonesia, Dili has the status of municipalities. Today is one of the districts of Dili in East Timor.





'Christ the King' is a statue of Christ is built on a promontory Fatucama hill, the eastern city of Dili, East Timor. The statue was built in 1996 as a memorial to the integration of East Timor into Indonesia. Statue of Pope John Paul II is a statue that was built on the hill Taci-Tolu west of Dili, Timor-Leste. The statue was built in 2007 on the initiative of the government to commemorate the visit of Pope John Paul II to Timor-Leste on 12 October 1989.

The National Stadium is a multifunctional stadium in Dili, East Timor. The stadium is most often used for football matches. The stadium can only hold five thousand spectators.
